Murder-for-Hire Charges Dropped Against AC/DC’s Rudd, But Lesser Charges Remain


Just one day after Phil Rudd, the drummer for AC/DC, was arrested for allegedly attempting to arrange the murders of two men, the main murder-for-hire charge has been dropped.

The crown solicitor of Tauranga, New Zealand, where Rudd was arrested, withdrew the charge due to what he termed “insufficient evidence.” A press release from the office of the crown solicitor, Greg Hollister-Jones, informed Rudd’s lawyers and police of his decision.
