Even Branson’s Gazillions Can’t Sway Plant Toward Led Zep Reunion

It’s seemed, in more recent times, like Robert Plant was the instigator, trying to persuade Jimmy Page to pursue a Led Zeppelin reunion. But after the most recent twist in the saga, that no longer seems the case with the group’s once leather-lunged singer.

Indeed, Ol’ Bob was not only the lone dissenter regarding the deal of the quartet, which also includes guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham (son of the late John) —  said to worth more than $800 million (£500 U.K.) for a 35-date tour — he also tore up the contract offered by Virgin’s Sir Richard Branson, in front of astonished promoters and his equally astonished old bandmates.
